Boot Camp is Back Baby!!

Athletic Body Conditioning

We have the speciality class for you this month!!  Try your hand (and feet) at sports skills training.  Have you been a recreational athlete in the past?  Are you competing/training right now?  Even if you aren't an athlete, why not try something different for a change??  This class will help you hone in on your inner athlete and teach you some conditioning skills to give you that competitve edge. 

This class will focus on everything that athletes would typically see in a training setting...core work, balance, power and speed, foot skills, and general conditioning.  A.B.C. is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and the "coaches" welcome participants ages 15 and up.  So parents if your child/children are currently participating in sports or will be in the spring, sign them up for this class.  Sorry, though, they must be 15 or older.

This class will be offered for ONE WEEK ONLY so take a look at the dates and sign up today!  Lots of classes to choose from so there shouldn't be any excuses regarding scheduling!  Tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell your teammates.

"Holly"-Day Slam                     

Christmas time is busy.  Busy with friends and family; busy travelling; busy shopping; busy just being you!  Sometimes our nutrition and fitness plans get thrown out the window during the holidays.  Are you ready to burn off some of those holiday goodies?  Been to one too many holiday parties with full spreads of fat-laden foods?  Well, we have a way for you to escape all of the "busy"-ness of the holiday season. 

Join our group fitness instructors as they plan a "HOLLY"-DAY SLAM class just for you!!  Join us on Friday, December 26th, 9-10:30a.  There will be a little bit of everything in this class.  Don't worry...all levels are welcome and you can customize exercises to your level.  This class is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC so bring those friends and family members who are crashed out in your guest rooms and on your couches!!  PROMATx members and training clients are FREE and guest only pay $5.


 

Turkey Burn                               

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and you know what that means....FEASTING!!  Spending time with friends and family during the Thanksgiving holiday is always an enjoyable time.  However, all of those extra calories are not so nice to our fitness goals. 

Join us on Black Friday, 11/28, for our annual "Turkey Burn Class".  Take a break from shopping or drag yourself away from the leftovers and come to class 9-10:30a.  This class is a mixture of a little bit of everything...strength training, cardio, HIIT (high-intensity interval training).  ALL LEVELS AND EXPERIENCE WELCOME!!  Have friends and family in town?  Bring them along as this class is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

All PROMATx members and training clients are FREE and guests are only $5.  So come in, burn some calories, and have some fun.  See you on Black Friday!!!!

 


 

Join us on Friday, October 24 at 6:30p for our #PartyInPink Zumbathon!!!  $10 at the door and this event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.  Bring a friend, dress in pink, and be ready to get your groove-thing on!

Proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer research organization.  It's for a great cause so we will see you there!!!

 

Bells-n-Balls 

Can you hang with us?? Bored with your regular gym routine?  Looking for something that will add fuel to your metabolism fire?  Then it's time to try Bells-n-Balls.  Utilize kettlebells and medicine balls for an EXPLOSIVE workout that challenges all of your major muscles.  Use this class to jumpstart your metabolism and spice up your regular gym routine.

JUNGLE GYM BLAST!!

Are you ready to take your workouts to the next level?  Are you bored with your current routine?  If you answered "yes" to either of these questions, then it is time for you to sign-up for "Jungle Gym Blast"!!  What is it?  We will be using the Lifeline USA Jungle Gym and you will get a chance to try out suspension training.  In this class you will utilize your own body weight in different positions while hanging on to 2 straps suspended from the wall.  This class is open to all levels as we will show you how to make modifications to increase or decrease the intensity.

Sign up today!!  Space is limited to 6 people per class so you must be registered AND paid before each class.  Walk-ins will only be allowed space permitting.  Sign up for one or sign up for all!  Be sure to note which class(es) you are signing up for when you register.  Each class will be a little different and you will be on your way to an "ironless" body!

 

 

Want to help out our trainer, April Crosby, as she sets out on a 3-mile course to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation? A good friend of hers was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2012. Let's help April raise awareness and money for this cause. If you would like to join Team Joint Effort, please click HERE to be taken to April's team page. You can walk, run, jog or crawl this course! There's also a 1-mile course if you are not feeling up to going the full 3 miles. Also, well-behaved pets are welcome on the walk as are strollers. Let's join together and get one step closer to a cure for arthritis.

During the month of March, come in and help Central Kentucky Wildlife Center prepare for "Baby Season 2014". The Kentucky Wildlife Center is a 501 C3, all volunteer, organization dedicated to helping wildlife. This organization takes in over 900 wildlife per year and offers educational programs to over 1000 children. They receive no funding from the state of Kentucky and rely solely on donations.

In honor of National Heart Health Month, we will be featuring a bake sale starting Wednesday, February 5th and running through Friday, February 7th. This event is in conjunction with the "Go Red for Women" campaign sponsored by the American Heart Association. We will have lots of yummies for you to purchase, made by PROMATx trainers, owners, and members.

 The "Go Red for Women" campaign is close to the heart of our trainer, April Crosby. Her mother, Kate Reyst, passed away unexpectedly in 2012 due to undiagnosed heart disease. Since then, it has been April's mission to raise awareness of heart disease in women and therefore has partnered with the American Heart Association (AHA) to promote the "Go Red for Women" campaign.

 This year she is sponsoring a bake sale to help raise money for the AHA for research and marketing for this campaign. All proceeds of the sale will go directly to the AHA in the name of the "Kathleen 'Kate' Reyst Memorial". Stop by the gym during our normal operating hours, peruse the table and purchase some yummy treats for you and your family. In lieu of purchasing items from the bake sale, you may opt to make a monetary donation to the AHA. Donation forms will be available at the bake sale.
