To maximize your training results we encourage our clients to meet regularly with a nutrition coach, which is all included in our training program. You will see your achievements as you are regular re-assessed by our exercise physiologist for progress and advancement.

Brad Covington - Trainer
Brad is the founder and co owner of PROMATx Health Club. Being in sports all of his life, it was a natural fit to obtain a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kentucky. He began personal training in college and has had the opportunity to watch so many lives and bodies change in the last 15 years. His clients are much more than individuals but have become part of his family. PROMATx was created to offer the highest quality of service to individuals seeking to improve their quality of life through fitness and nutrition. He is deeply committed to carry out this mission and provide you with the education and motivation you need to improve your health and longevity. He entered the business when he saw he could combine the two things he was most passionate about - fitness and helping others.

Todd Walbert - Trainer
Todd is a University of Kentucky graduate with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has a background in, and enjoys training athletes but specializes in weight loss and weight management. Todd's ability to build strong long-term relationships with his clients comes from his love and devotion to his family. He constantly strives to implement more effective training methods and encourages his clients to use these methods to produce maximum results. When training with Todd, you will benefit fom his leadership and planning skills as he commits to help you achieve your goals. You will be encouraged and motivated by his competitiveness and positivity. He believes great self-discpline is needed to change the shape of your body and this inspired his new moto "Can Do. Will Do. Achieve!"


James Clark - Trainer
James is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Being a former swimmer at the University of Kentucky led him into coaching where he specialized in athletic conditioning and training for all ages across a variety of sports. He loves working with motivated individuals that have specific goals and have the determination to make changes in their life. Whether your goals are weight loss or taking your competition to the next level James will give you the tools and support you need to make it possible!  

Caitlin Massey - Trainer
Caitlin is a certified weight management consultant and holds a personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She entered the fitness industry after receiving her bachelor’s degree in social work from Arizona State University and prides herself in joining her knowledge and love of health and exercise with her training in and passion for working with people to break through barriers, reach personal goals, and achieve an enhanced quality of life. As a weight management consultant, Caitlin has adopted a four pronged approach from her social work training to understand her client’s needs and adapt each individual nutrition plan to coincide with psychological and social constraints, as well as provide ongoing support to clients as new challenges arise. As a personal trainer, Caitlin enjoys using creative training techniques utilizing traditional, functional, and martial arts exercise styles to create fun, effective exercise programs for her clients. Caitlin has 8 years of martial arts training through which she has learned the art of determination, and calculation. She will bring these characteristics to each training session to give her clients a carefully created plan to their goals and encouragement to stay motivated.


Joseph Mattingly - Trainer
Joseph has a bachelor degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kentucky and is a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. He began training four years ago and has worked with a wide range of clients. He has extensive experience working with people limited by injuries, new and old, and has made great strides in their overall health condition as well as helping them learn to work around the issues and prevent new ones. He also enjoys working with athletes and extremely fit individuals wanting to push to the next level. His passion is to help you, where ever your fitness level may be, achieve the goals you desire!


April Crosby - Trainer
April has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Grand Valley State University. After competing in many sports in high school and participating in recreational sports in college, she felt a transition to the health and fitness field was a logical move. She has been a personal trainer for over 15 years and has worked with clients of all ages, including athletes and post-rehab clients. April has an extensive background in physical therapy and injury prevention. For over 10 years, she worked with an injury prevention program at a major automobile manufacturing company where she helped new production employees become physically fit for their job and empowered them with knowledge to stay safe and injury-free while working. Currently, in addition to training at PROMATx Health Club, she is an avid soccer player, competes in half-marathons and teaches group exercise classes on occasion. Fitness and wellness are important factors in her life and she strives to instill these principles in her client’s lives.


Amanda Tovar - Trainer
Amanda started her career as a medical assistant but changed directions after being a fitness fanatic for many years. Her desire was to help others experience the same benefits of exercise that she had, notably more energy and self-confidence. She is now a certified personal trainer and has enjoyed watching lives change. Amanda has been involved in the ballet community for 18 years and she incorporates her knowledge of dance into her workouts by putting alot of focus on good posture and core stabilization. She enjoys working with clients of all ages as well as fitness abilities and limitation. Amanda will go out of her way to help her clients achieve their goals and has established many long term relationships because of this passion.


Carol Brown - Trainer
Carol came to America from Brazil on a swimming scholarship at Western Kentucky University where she earned a Bachelors in Exercise Science. Her lifelong passion for sports and physical activity led her to personal training where she could share this passion and knowledge to help others reach their personal goals and develop balanced healthy lifestyles. It gives her great joy to watch her clients adopt healthy habits and change their quality of life. She enjoys challenging her clients of all ages and fitness levels both physically and mentally to become stronger from the inside out. She believes "if she can guide someone to do something they thought they never could they would feel a great sense of power to accomplish anything in life!"


 Tina Bryant - Trainer
Tina graduated with a BS in Child and Family Studies, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, and a Certified CPR and First Aid instructor through the American Heart Association. Tina has a passion for teaching and this reflects in all the areas of interest in her life. She believes you must first learn what a person needs and be able to teach it to them in a way that helps them. She started teaching tennis at the age of sixteen and has over 20 years experience in the sport playing at both collegiate and pro levels. Tina has been teaching group fitness since college and loves the class experience, she serves as both a group fitness instructor and coordinator at PROMATX. With over 8 years experience in personal training, you will benefit from her creativity, experience, and authentic desire to help her clients.


 

Shawn Massey - Trainer
Shawn entered the fitness field based on a love for exercise and watching people progress towards their goals while growing to reach new capabilities. He holds a personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and has twenty years of martial arts experience. Before his personal training career, Shawn managed a martial arts school where he taught students of all ages and skill levels building strength, stamina, skill, determination, and self confidence. As a trainer, Shawn enjoys incorporating his martial arts training into functional exercises for a very unique, fun workout. Shawn uses his natural leadership skills and lighthearted attitude to establish a firm foundation to build upon, and encourage and motivate his clients by adding variety and keeping things fun.


 

 

 

Jonathan Hawk - Trainer
Jonathan graduated with a BS in Sports Management and minor in physical education from Bemidji State University where he competed in both track and football. With only two seasons of both, he was awarded two time champion in the 100m and 200m, national player of the week honors, tied NCAA kick return record, special teams all-american, and all-conference. After his senior year at Bemidji, Jonathan went on to New Orleans Saints as a Undrafted Free Agent and later to play Arena Football League with the Kentucky Horseman. As a former athlete, he knows what it take to reach the top and trains his clients with this same passion and dedication. Personal training has allowed him to work with many people and build relationships and trust. He believes every workout is an opportunity for both the client and himself to improve and accomplish results from hard work and team effort!
